I express myself best through Street Photography because it’s my method of paying attention, rather than a genre, which gives me the latitude I need to create visual oxymorons, counterpoints and tension within a photographic frame that houses layers of truth.
My approach to street photography is strongly informed but not limited to work on Body & Personality Theory of Personal Identity, Surrealism, Gestalt, bio-neurology, cognitive psychology, socio-semantic, semiotics and occidental /oriental philosophies.
My search for valid answers to questions about my personal identity and identity in others is firmly rooted in my deep-seated interest in Neurology and Altered Body Image/Perception and pain control in my previous work with people who suffered from burns and brainstem stroke, coma, amputation and leukemia since the mid-1980s.
