Late November I found myself in Brussels in the midst of an energetic and good natured crowd at a demonstration for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

I was really impressed by the people, their commitment, strength aund dignity was really evident. The experience made me more away and thoughtful of the terrible problems in the world arising from violence directed at women and children.

The terrible but inspiring case of Gisele Pelicot is just one example of the problem. Hopefully her case, and these demonstrations will help people to think and take action to break the cycle of violence and intimidation.
